インド北東部に位置するビハール州ブッダガヤ。
この地の雇用作りと、インドの歴史が織り成してきた美しい手仕事の布を原点に、 ニマイニタイのものづくりははじまりました。

西ベンガル・ムルシダバードの職人の手で紡ぎ織られた、 綿・麻・絹といった天然繊維。
インド藍、鉄、鬱金、柘榴など植物由来の染料で色を重ねることで生まれた深い色彩。

服に仕立てあげるのは、デリーの専属の仕立職人とブッダガヤの女性たち。
黙々と針を動かす時、賑やかな時、衝突や忍耐の時、 かけがえのない時間の流れを共有しながら、 一枚一枚丁寧に仕立て上げています。

時に不揃いではありながら、 年月を経て朽ちていってもなお大切にされる。
そんな一着を目指して。

This is where NIMAI NITAI set out to create employment and beautiful,
handcrafted textiles infused with the fabric of India’s culture and history.

For generations, master weavers in the town of Murshidabad,
West Bengal have skillfully sewn cotton, linen, silk, and other natural fibers into elegant designs.
Plant-based pigments and natural dyes are layered to achieve rich, deep colors like Indian indigo, iron, turmeric, and pomegranate.

Tailored exclusively by expert artisans in Delhi and by women in Bodh Gaya,
each work is lovingly sewn—piece by piece, stitch by stitch.
The needle moves quietly at times, and it seems to dance at others.
It sews through times of conflict and perseverance as well.

Our clothes are interwoven with time, sharing in its currents.

インドと日本がきょうだいのような関係でモノづくりをしていきたいそんな想いをこめて名づけました。

モノづくりを通して、つくる人とそれを使う人の想いをつなげ、 ひとりひとり、ひとつひとつが大切にされる思いやりのある社会づくりを目指していきます。
